The Business Bootcamp Week 4 – an evening on marketing with Prab Chadha

Monday, lucky 13th of November, Entrepreneurs Network Swansea held its fourth session of the Business Bootcamp which took place in the School of Management at Swansea University. This week’s session focused on Social Media Management and was run by Prab Chadha, a successful Digital Marketing Specialist and owner of Digital Maverick.

Prab, extremely passionate about his field, highlighted how careful social media planning can help businesses become more successful. Focusing on two of the most utilised social platforms, he offered insights into effectively managing Twitter and LinkedIn pages, and gave advice on how to make the best out of social accounts. Towards the end of the workshop, students were challenged to create a formula for social media success, Prab revealing his own as well.

With Social Media having become a vital marketing channel for businesses, this session turned out to be of high interest for those who attended, who were eager to ask questions and find out more about the subject. Free appetisers and drinks were provided. Yum!

Prab’s session really showcased to members how social media marketing can be developed using key techniques and a number of tools to boost online reach and create a strong following for a new business, all of which can be done on an extremely low budget. One of the most impressive accomplishments in Prab’s business development is that he challenged himself against former students of his that he could create a profitable business using only social media as a platform for gaining clients, Digital Maverick is now into it’s third year and only now is developing a website. This again highlights the true power of social media making it a privilage for our members to hear some of Prab’s top tips.

Following this week’s session, Entrepreneurs Network will be holding a Marketing workshop next week, November 20, as part of the Business Bootcamp. As we draw towards the festive period and the end of term the Entrepreneurs Network is still working hard to develop partnerships and put on many more events. We are especially looking forward to the Christmas Market Challenge which will be announced very soon!
